Weekend warrior!

Sorry it's been so long since I updated, but I had a great weekend. I got soo much done! Can't believe how much I wrote, but I tell ya I am extremely pleased. I'm going to guess that Tempest is about 65-75% complete now. I can't wait to get all the way finished, so I can share it with all of you.

Still here

Things are going well for once! I've been working some each day, and am very please with how Tempest is coming along so far. I'm probably halfway finished with this one, so stay tuned for more later. :D My other work in progress, Dragon Portal, is kinda on the back burner right now, but not to worry it will get finished, too. I'm not a slacker!! Well, maybe a little lol...

All right, I'll admit. I haven't worked on writing anything today. I was watching Duchess play with the puppies we got Thanksgiving weekend. Hilarious and cute! I was going to attempt to get pics or a video because it was so adorable, but every time I looked outside they stopped. lol :D 

I do plan on working a little this afternoon (I was sick this weekend, and am still recooping). Other than whatever virus invaded my system this weekend, things are relatively normal (if such a thing exists lol). Have a great day, and happy reading!

Happy Turkey Day!

Just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving! Taking a short break from writing to spend a little quality time with my family, and back to work later. Be safe and have fun!

Awesome day

Yesterday was by far the most productive day I have had so far! I wrote 4,000 words within like 3 hours. Go me!! This one is flowing a lot better than I could have hoped.

Panic!

Nanowrimo is halfway over. If writing at a specific rate per day, the estimated word count is 25,000. *gasp* And I'm still behind. :( OK, guess I better get off the blog, fb, and twitter for today and really get to work again! Hoping everyone has a great day!

Tempest

Here is my current favorite quote from my 2012 Nanowrimo project "Tempest."

So far, so good. I didn't get as much accomplished this weekend as I had hoped, but I am pleased that I at least got something written. My word count is steadily climbing, and I did learn something already from this whole thing: If you want to try Nanowrimo, start Nov 1, because if you wait like I did, you WILL be stressed about "being behind." Have a great Monday, folks (if there is such a thing as a good Monday)!

Synopsis from my nanowrimo project called "Tempest"

Ok, so entering nanowrimo may not have been the dumbest thing I have ever done. I started last night at about 9pm, and as of today I am already up to 5,000 words. (Now only 45,000 more to go lol) So it looks like there is hope for me after all. Oh, right I almost forgot the teaser. ;)



Have you ever wondered what kind of things the government does that they don't tell us about? Cleo knows exactly what kind of research they do and what they are capable of. She has even been working for them and hiding from them at the same time. Hey, hiding in plain sight does work! At least for a little while it does. When she wakes up in a room that seems devoid of life and has no memory of her life, things get a bit tense. She is accosted by an extremely handsome man that goes from anger management material to concerned for her well being in an instant. As if that weren't enough to worry about, there's this strange woman that appears in her dreams, not to mention the circumstances regarding her childhood. Then there are those little things that are always happening. Things she has no explanation for. Hang on to your hats, cause this ride ain't for the faint of heart.

Genius or a total dummy...

Ok, so I'm either really smart or really stupid...I just started nanowrimo and I'm already 9 days behind. It's a different story than the one I've been working on, but I think getting my mind off the little dilemma I've created on the one I've been working onwill help me figure out my issues. Well, anyway wish me luck, because I have 46,000 more words to get down before December! *bites fingernails*

Either way, hope you like this one. It even has a title: Tempest. If all goes well this weekend, I might even be willing to post a little teaser or excerpt for ya! ;) Well, back to the grind! Have a fun, yet safe weekend folks!

Back to work

I was finally able to get a bit more work done. About time, I know. It seems like every time I plan to set aside a specific time to write, something else comes up. It's very frustrating, but at least I got some good stuff down today. ;) Still working on it, but every day I get to work, it gets closer to completion. 

Anyway, hope all is well in your world, and if you are in the path of hurricane Sandy, please try to remain safe.

So it's been a crazy week. Had to go to my aunt's funeral and it was only like a 12 hour drive (one way). But now I'm back home and I think I've found some new inspiration, too. Hope all is well in everyone else's world. Have a great Friday, darlings!

38,000 Baby!

Had an awesomely productive night! Wrote like 3,000 words in like an hour. Good stuff, good stuff. ;) So I think I have found someone to create my cover art for me too! I'm getting really excited about the prospect of completing this one. Can't wait!

Well, this is my very first blog post. Not too much terribly exciting happening, except for being a little over halfway finished with the book! I can't wait to share it with you. Hopefully you will fall in love with the characters as I have.
